This is not the personal use copy you may have seen offered elsewhere, which doesn't include the Handbook for Teachers or the Student Management System (SMS). The Student Management System is a separate, optional-use software component that allows the teacher to set up automatic exercise sequences and parameters, set minimum proficiency levels which must be attained in order to proceed to the next section, and track student performance in detail.
But don't be misled by the word "Homeschool". This edition is a fantastic choice for all types of learners. There's nothing juvenile about the software. In fact, the core program is identical to the Personal Edition. The only difference is the inclusion of the extra materials mentioned above.
Each level of Version 2 Rosetta Stone® is approximately equivalent to two years of high school foreign language when all components (speaking, listening, reading, and writing) are used. Younger children will likely take much longer than two years to complete a level, and their pace will increase as their capacity to work through the logic of the language increases. However, younger ones enjoy a great advantage where ear training is concerned, and their pronunciation is usually excellent.
